News

Well, things are beginning to look up! Mad March hares in the fields, and Easter Bunnies digging holes in the wood! The cottage has just been redecorated internally, and we are now ready to open.

We have availability from 1st April 2022 onwards. The end of July and August are popular, but we have some availability. We still have availability over the Jim Clark weekend.

Our basic prices until further notice are £425 per week (normally Saturday to Saturday) but shorter periods of two nights or more are possible by arrangement, (with a different pricing structure to reflect the increased cleaning work involved).

COVID 19 Information

Writing in early April 2022, Scotland still has Covid restrictions in place. It is possible to observe social distancing comfortably at this property. A number of guests have chosen our cottage for this specific reason. Whatever the legal rules are, or will be, just ask us if you need this facility

The Scottish Government website should be consulted for the very latest information and guidance, although we find the BBC website has very useful summaries, and is easier to use.

Additional Activities

This year we have added “taster days” to our offering, relating to green woodwork, coppice management and nature conservation. Learn how to stay safe, enjoy, maintain, and look after woodland. Also learn how to monitor the water quality in our burn, and record results for official records. Observe (and occasionally meet!) our interesting wild life and creepy crawlies. We can plan something suitable for most abilities and interests, Just ask us for details and prices.
